Hi, I’m Gemma, a pencil artist based in Buckinghamshire with a lifelong passion for both animals and art. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved drawing. As a child, I spent countless rainy days creating what I proudly considered my next masterpiece, and that passion eventually led me to study Art and Design at A-Level. Although life took me in different directions, I reconnected with my artwork in recent years and found myself doing what I love most, creating detailed pet portraits that celebrate the animals who mean so much to us.
I love creating pet portraits because I’m genuinely fascinated by animals. Spending hours studying every whisker, every expression and every tiny detail is incredibly therapeutic. Working from your favourite photographs, I carefully transform those special moments into hand-drawn pencil portraits that capture not only your pet’s likeness, but also their personality, character and spirit. From the glint in their eye to that stray white whisker or wet nose, no detail goes unnoticed.
Every portrait is created with patience, care and many hours of pencil work. My aim is to create more than just a beautiful piece of artwork.
